From the North: 

• Take I-75 South to I-375 to Jefferson Avenue West (toward downtown) and merge to the center left lane. 
• Turn left on to Beaubien Street. 
• Follow signs to Beaubien Place Parking Garage on left just prior to reaching Atwater (along Detroit River). 

 Finding your way to Ignite IT in the Cartier Ballroom

Ignite IT will be held in the Cartier Room within the Renaissance Ballrooms. The easiest way to get there is to walk to the center of the RenCen from any entrance / tower and take the elevators to the 4th Floor. Signage is pretty bad, but there should be Oakland University Students to help direct you. Plan for 15-20 minutes to get from the Beaubien Place Parking Garage to the Cartier Ballroom.

Mark your calendars: Ignite IT - 4pm Friday, August 5th, 2011

We're proud to announce that Ignite IT, will be held at 4 pm on Friday, August 5th, 2011. As part of the AMCIS 2011 Conference, Ignite IT speakers will share out-of-the-box thinking. The event is open to the public as well as conference attendees.

Ignite events are community run events that share a common format: 5 minute talks where speakers use 20 slides that auto-advance every 15 seconds.

If you are passionate and have innovative ideas that you'd like to share on any aspect of the IT industry, we'd love to hear from you!

We're accepting applications for speakers today!

You don't have to have the entire talk and slides ready, but fill out the form and get in touch with us.

Volunteers

Ignite IT is a community driven event. Everyone from the speakers to the organizers volunteer their time in order to put on this event.

Not only are we looking for volunteers to help with setup and sign in on August 5th, 2011, but we're looking people who have backgrounds in:

• Public Relations
• Marketing
• Social Media
• Photography
• Video Production
